background of the study
For centuries, calamansi has been used as a cleaning agent, condiment, seasoning, medicine and ornament. Calamansi has been very efficient in the past as stain remover when detergent is not yet available in the market. The researcher found out that the pulp of the calamansi is very acidic, so the researcher thought of using the pulp extract of calamansi as an alternative to detergent. The researcher conducted the study because it wanted to lessen the use of detergent that can pollute waters if misused. An organic and efficient stain remover that would serve as an alternative to other detergents may appeal to the poor because it could be easily made anytime and will prove to be less costly.
